At Wheatley Minis, the emphasis is on every child enjoying themselves and developing their skills at the game of rugby – as an individual and as part of a team. We meet at Holton Playing Fields, opposite Wheatley Park School, at 10.30 each Sunday morning from 3 September 2006, except when we have away matches (see the fixture list here). Don't be shy - come up and give it a try, you get three free taster sessions before you have to join the club. Under 7s to Under 8s play tag rugby – a non contact game with the emphasis on running and evasion skills. At the Under 9 age group, tackling is introduced, then other aspects of the full game are introduced progressively from Under 10 to Under 12.It would be greatly appreciated if all parents and coaches took the time to have a look through the Wheatley RUFC induction presentation.
