Wheatley Mini Rubgy

Parents Information Page

Parents Involvement

Wheatley is a small welcoming club that firmly encourages parents as well as children to take part in our activities. We rely on parents helping out with the running of the club and look forward to welcoming you to our various social events. Many friendships are formed on the touchlines and newcomers are made to feel part of our comminity. Warm drinks and bacon sandwiches are available in the club house - getting up early on Sunday morning has to be worthwhile for you as well as your children!

To help our recruitment of new players please hand out this information sheet to anyone you feel would enjoy playing at our club.

Equipment

Shirts are available to purchase from the Club and there may be some second hand kit available, but each age group coach has some Club shirts to lend out for matches. Smart training tops are provided free of charge but must be returned at the end of the season. At all ages it is most important to keep warm and dry so please make sure the children are dressed appropriately at all times, remember they can always remove layers. A hat and gloves are often forgotten and these can be absolutely necessary on winter days. Tracksuit bottoms are recommended when it is cold and when the pitches get dry at the end of the year. Suitable footwear is required but not necessarily boots, please ask your age groups coach for more information.
